Energy Power 103 FM[edit]

Energy 103 was based at the former Nova Boutique and Magic 103 facility at 144, Upper Leeson Street in Dublin and broadcast on 103.1FM and 738 khz AM. It was the follow on to the short-lived Zoom 103FM which launched the day after Nova closed in March 1986. Energy 103's jingle package was a re-sing of the Q107 Canada package from JAM. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Enda Caldwell (talkcontribs) 03:00, 8 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Jamming and NUJ dispute[edit]

There seems to be an inconsistency between this article and the "Bring Back Radio Nova" documentary broadcast on TV3 last year. I believe it is still available on YouTube and was repeated on City Channel (Dublin) recently. I didn't edit this in to the main article to allow it to be discussed instead.

The article claims that RTÉ stopped the jamming and the NUJ members went on strike after the closure of Magic 103, but the documentary claims that Cary fired the NUJ members as a direct consequence of the jamming. As there were NUJ members working in RTÉ he decided that by firing the NUJ members in Nova, the union would see that RTÉ's jamming was having an impact on their members and therefore they might pressure RTÉ to stop it. However this backfired badly as we all know. Karsini (talk) 01:16, 5 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
