Collegiate Tenant[edit]

Why does the University of South Florida (most people in the U.S. calls it USF) play at Raymond James Stadium? Is there no room on their campus?--BigMac1212 00:38, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

They're not a big sports school like UF, FSU and Miami. All the other schools in Florida relative to those 3 are bottom tier fluff and can't even come close to comparison. - Marc Averette 15:22, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
USF's Facility The Sundome is simply not large enough to accomodate the Bulls Football team.
The University of Miami doesn't have an on-campus football stadium either, and in fact next year the football team is moving to Dolphins Stadium which is even farther from campus than the Orange Bowl is. --Metropolitan90 02:25, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pirate Ship Question[edit]

When the stadium fill in the endzone with seats, like the Super Bowl, what becomes of the pirate ship?--BigMac1212 03:48, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tickets to be on the pirate ship are sold.

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 08:23, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

article reorganization[edit]

The article is pretty jumbled up right now, with a separate history section and timeline and random factoids stuck in all over the place. I'll work on cleaning it up over the next week or so as time permits. Zeng8r (talk) 13:36, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Concerts table[edit]

I don't think we should try to compile a list of all Ray Jay concerts in a table. A table gives a list a suggestion of authority and completeness, but the current list is far from complete, and it would be very difficult to research every concert that's ever been held at the stadium along with enough details to fill in all the columns. It's much better to keep the "concerts" section in paragraph form and say something like "Major concert performers have included..." and list the most notable ones, like it's done at Tampa Stadium. Otherwise, it'll be a never-ending process trying to keep a table updated that isn't particularly important anyway. Zeng8r (talk) 11:29, 16 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The concerts table continues to grow and has become larger than all other tables in this article combined. including the table for Super Bowls, which are far more important than any concert that has been and will ever be held at Ray Jay. The problems I detailed above still apply, and now we can add WP:UNDUE to the list. I mentioned these concerns at the user page of Megacheez, the editor who created the concert table here along with others at Tampa Stadium, Tropicana Field, and many other venue articles. He deleted the Tampa Stadium table, but no others that I can see. Unless someone comes up with a reason why I shouldn't, I'm going to delete the tables here and at Tropicana Field and replace them with the wording I suggested last November. -Zeng8r (talk) 02:36, 9 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
