Glasgow?[edit]

What about the razor gangs of Glasgow of the 1930ies? Maikel (talk) 16:55, 9 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's a seperate article on that subject. Unfortunately, Larry Writer's excellent book on Sydney's razor gangs doesn't mention whether their use of razors was emulated directly by their Sydney counterparts through the news media or immigrant social network communication. At present, evidence points to the emulation of the sailor that Writer notes as the current frontrunner for the idea behind the introduction of the razor as an instrument of crime. On the other hand, it is possible. If anyone can find evidence establishing such a causal relationship, please incorporate it into this article. Or, do some additional work on the Glasgow razor gangs article, which appears to be a mere stub at present. Calibanu (talk) 02:19, 19 September 2011 (UTC)User Calibanu[reply]
