Except that that past member is still an active musician who had several links to this title that were expecting her. Do not simply hijack redirects, ever — we can change where a redirect points if it's done properly, but what you did broke links. Always post a request to the talk page first from now on so that the matter can be discussed and reviewed to determine the most appropriate solution — just because the educator's more "relevant" to you than the musician is doesn't necessarily mean she's more relevant to everybody else than the musician is. And in addition, there was a third person who could also credibly claim this title too — so the appropriate solution was to create a dab page rather than arbitrarily taking over the existing redirect.
