Cleanup[edit]

There are one or two ambiguous references to just "bridge" in this article. I had to think about some of them for a bit in context and one gave me pause. Especially troublesome was when it appeared both ends of a bridge were being closed. Anyway suggest each instance of bridge have free or toll in front of it. I'm not sure I could add them correctly just from context.--J Clear 03:58, 25 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This is one of the most confusing things I have ever read. I grew up in Oklahoma, lived in Texas many years, and have never heard of this issue. Can someone please expand on this article to give the casual reader a better understanding of what happened here and who was actually responsible? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.169.68.238 (talk) 08:07, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Template[edit]

The 'American Conflicts' template doesn't really seem appropriate, especially since the United States military was never involved. Narthring (talk) 20:34, 12 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability tag[edit]

What is going on with this? It's the entire focus of a book from a university press. It has an encyclopedia article in a scholarly encyclopedia. And both of these resources already appear in the article. The idea that this might not be notable is ludicrous. 49.198.51.54 (talk) 20:50, 5 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I agree and support the idea that this might not be notable is ludicrous. Of course it is notable. 47.62.21.212 (talk) 12:56, 24 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Information[edit]

This page is really messy. I don't know why but the info box claimed a “Decisive Oklahoma victory” and also said “toll bridge destroyed” nether of those claims were true. Was this vandalism? LuxembourgLover (talk) 17:40, 7 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
