Merge from Regimental colour[edit]

I have merged content from Regimental colour, duplicate topic, and transferred MILHIST tag. Gwinva (talk) 04:03, 27 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a great deal of overlap with that article. IMO content from that article should be moved to here with that article touching on just military flags in general, and this article describing specific flag-related traditions. 118.90.25.253 (talk) 00:09, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops. Put a merge proposal below :D 118.90.25.253 (talk) 00:14, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The result of this discussion was no merge'. Page has been moved, and reorganizing articles is not appropriate use of a merge tag. D O N D E groovily Talk to me 03:17, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I propose that either some content from Colours, standards and guidons be moved here, or that this page be deleted with extra content going to Colours, standards and guidons, due to the great deal of overlap between the two articles---IMO content from that article should be moved to here with that article touching on just military flags in general, and this article describing specific traditions to do with colours.

Also, Historical colours, standards and guidons should be moved into here. It deals with the USSR, Spain, Germany (Prussia/Nazi) and France (Revolution/Napoleon).

I don't propose merging everything into one; rather I just used the tag to draw attention to the mess of information here-and-there. 118.90.25.253 (talk) 00:13, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
