Conflict of interest[edit]

Recent editing by two new users KimberlyKitten and Luke1hopewell is, to my eyes, of dubious intent. Additional editorial input would be welcome. Cheers —jameslucas ▄▄▄ ▄ ▄▄▄ ▄▄▄ ▄ 02:43, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]

While KimberlyKitten and Luke1hopewell do give evidence of having a conflict of interest (the prior editor using the name Richard Andrew Baker admitted to being one Kim Allan, Mr Baker's personal assistant), I don't disagree that Baker's current role as founder of bd-capital deserves mention in the article lead, as there is reliable sourcing to verify the fact as well as to indicate that this is a notable new venture for Mr Baker. I think basically just need to promote (and dress-up a bit) the final sentence of the career section, which is cited:
  • Walsh, Dominic (2019-06-13). "Richard Baker puts his dough in private equity". The Times. ISSN 0140-0460. Retrieved 2019-06-13.
Any concerns? —jameslucas ▄▄▄ ▄ ▄▄▄ ▄▄▄ ▄ 18:28, 22 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@JamesLucas: No concerns here. I would mention the launch of the new firm in the lead, and then reiterate the fact in the career section, with inclusion of the firm's name, BD-Capital. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 12:50, 23 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
