The article on Merlin mentions a story about the wizard which has almost the exact same premise. I assume the two must be related somehow? Would it be worth mentioning in a "See Also" section? 50.30.49.13 (talk) 03:40, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Oldest version[edit]

According to our article, the oldest version is the Latin one by Stephen of Bourbon. ARLIMA and DEAF date the French version to the end of the 12th century, which is around the time Stephen of Bourbon was born, which would mean we have them the wrong was round. Do we have a published source saying which came first? DEAF is published by the Heidelberg Academy of Sciences and Humanities, so it's a pretty reliable source.
