Untitled[edit]

The only reference in this article makes no mention of Bass at all.TeapotgeorgeTalk 17:48, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The reference section is now a list of books which is more commonly titled a Bibliography?TeapotgeorgeTalk 16:58, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Death[edit]

The addition of a "Death Transcript Certificate number" is not an appropriate reference for his death, but upon searching I can find no reference to his death anywhere...or in fact hardly any reference to him at all, which makes me wonder why he is considered notable enough for an article?TeapotgeorgeTalk 20:16, 17 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Single purpose accounts[edit]

I find it very suspicious that this article has been extensively edited by three different single purpose accounts.TeapotgeorgeTalk 20:03, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Well, ultimately their efforts are futile. If no reliable sources are available to confirm his death, then it will continue to be removed per WP:BLP. We can also request semi-protection if it becomes a real problem. Whatever the outcome, this article is an enormous mess. It would almost be best to stub it and start from scratch, building it up with verifiable content. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:09, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree it should be stubbed and only the referenced material kept.TeapotgeorgeTalk 20:13, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ok - I'll wait until tomorrow to see if there is any additional feedback and then to a whack at it (literally). If anyone wants to tackle it in the meantime, please do. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 20:19, 18 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I will be editing this article on Rudi Bass and welcome suggestions in addition to the above-noted suggestions. Thanks. (Julie329 (talk) 15:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)) Julie329 (talk) 15:02, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

There is virtually no evidence of notability, the article needs reducing to a short stub of only the third party referenced material and those with a conflict of interest trying to puff up the article should take a back seat. TeapotgeorgeTalk 15:06, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I pulled out all of the redundant info and blatant original research and added references. I thought it would need to be stubbed but was able to keep enough basic biogrpahical info and sourced details for a start class article. With both of us watching the article we should be able to ensure it remains neutral and sourced until the flurry of recent interest has passed. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:39, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, Gentlemen for your input. Comments noted. Julie329 (talk) 22:58, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Book covers[edit]

I would prefer to see the book covers removed from the list it is not at all notable to illustrate book covers? and there are no references or ISBN numbers for any of the booksTeapotgeorgeTalk 16:18, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The book illustrations should stay as they are an important part of his body of work. If you are a graphic artist, then cover illustrations are certainly notable in your field. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:43, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Book covers are not normally considered as very important in an artists body of work, but I suppose when the body of work is so small every little helps!TeapotgeorgeTalk 17:34, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You could always drop a note at WP:WikiProject Graphic design to get their opinion if you're concerned about the value of the information. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 17:59, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gentlemen: Please note that Rudi Bass is deceased as of January, 2011. Thanks. Julie329 (talk) 17:28, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

That has been clear for sometime but no references have been supplied.TeapotgeorgeTalk 18:07, 24 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rudi Bass Wiki page[edit]

The Widow of Rudi Bass, (Julie has decided not to continue with the task) has asked me to update his Wiki page. As you can see I did some editing before I learned enough about how Wikipedia is updated. I will not be doing any more on line editing until I have been able to produce a more comprehensive article with the appropriate citations. For example: Yale University’s School of Art and Architecture is now two separate Schools - School of Art and School of Architecture. How would that be noted? It appears that it is identified as none existing in the article I had known Rudi Bass personally since 1974 so unfortunately, some of the early references cannot be cited as they are words from Rudi Bass's mouth. We are currently going through possessions, papers and documents that Rudi Bass had to try to create a more accurate and complete article. Please, be patient.Thank you, MrsHayward (talk) 17:46, 9 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add original research to the article as it will be removed. All content must be verifiable through the use of reliable sources. I believe that this has been pointed out to you previously, but it presents a conflict of interest to write about individuals that you know personally. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 15:59, 16 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I had known Bass for many years professionally and then in his late life came to know him personally.MrsHayward 14:55, 6 April 2011 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by MrsHayward (talkcontribs)
As long as the information you are adding is sourced and neutral, then I don't think the possible conflict of interest is of too much concern. You have done a good job on the article, it has been much improved since you began working on it. --Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 13:06, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. There is very litte more that I would do except try to sort out those items that require citations in the beginning of the article. Will it be possible to remove the banner about conflict of interest at this time? Regards, (User talk:MrsHaywardMrsHayward 16:25, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just let me know when you're done (you can leave a note on my talk page) and I will remove it for you. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 16:54, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have had, at last, confirmation on the last few citations. I am now completely finished with any work on this article unless there are recommended changes from someone.(User talk:MrsHaywardMrsHayward 78.86.120.137 (talk) 17:20, 8 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
