Still alive ?[edit]

Based on a Google translation I think that the Tamil version of this article states that she died in 2009. Is this correct ? --Racklever (talk) 13:10, 9 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

ARTICLE TITLE MISSPELLING[edit]

The "Title" of this article itself is wrong! Her name is "Sarla Thukral", not 'Sarla Thakral'! So the spelling must be corrected. For proof u hv everywhere in ur article! [1]

Same goes for the URL. It shd b "Sarla_Thukral" & not "Sarla_Thakral".

But the problem is there is no option for Changing the Title. Also for ppl. like me, editing with "IP Address", can't change the "page URL", I guess. It must be 'corrected'. So I left it in da talk page.

Google Doodles, particularly in India, seem to be notoriously unreliable for their research. Sarla was certainly not the first woman in India to get a pilot license and using Google Doodle as a source for her spelling should not be considered AT ALL. See WP:RS. Google India was also going around adding caste surnames to Rukhmabai, a doctor who was adopted by a family against caste. Even worse, they were adding the caste of the man who had forcibly married her as a child and had taken her to court. Please do some careful research, not the first Google search result.
