I removed the name explanation an Old Norse term for "wood" due to the heavy forests that used to be around the town, although heavy logging has since destroyed most of the trees. Although it does sound a bit like the old Norse, I don't believe that the area was heavily forested as recently as the viking age then was all logged. --JBellis 20:18, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
