The link to the Walk Highlands webpage lists this as Sgùrr na Banachdich and not Banachdaich and that is also the form on OS Explorer map 411. I not an expert on Gaelic, but would it make sense to use a consistent way of writing the name? Surabayjim (talk) 14:07, 2 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

what is this rubbish?[edit]

This is probably the worst article I've ever seen in Wikipedia. While there are plenty of rock climbing routes on this mountain, it's one of only two Cuillin Munros (the other is Bruach na Frithe) that can be climbed without resort to scrambling, let alone rock climbing. In other words, it's possible to walk to the summit. When I've got time I'll try to repair it, with some book sources, and remove all the nonsense about sherpas.Freewheeling frankie (talk) 19:29, 26 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've now re-written the article, removing all the stuff about sherpas (the source cited for the section about Tenzing Norgay does not mention him climbing Sgùrr na Banachdaich, nor the quote given) and the completely inaccurate assertions that it is the hardest peak in the Cuillin.
