Any article[edit]

that use a text called, "Guide to refuting [erroneous teachings of] other schools" as its only source cannot in any way be considered objective. This is clearly a statement of the Nichiren Shoshu version of events, not a balanced approach.

Please don't assume so much on so little evidence. The article, which I wrote for the most part, is largely based on the Japanese Wikipedia article as it stood when I authored the article. I used the book you criticize, which is admittedly biased, to fill in a lot of the blanks. I also accept that some of the content may constitute original research in that I am personally acquainted with some of the participants in the dispute on the Nichiren Shoshu side. I have made no effort to hide this.

That said, please note that I do dispute any accusations of intent to provide a biased or unbalanced accounting, since it is my personal belief that such presentations are inherently as unstable as they are untenable, not to mention more damaging to the party to which they are biased. If you can substantiate the factual inaccuracy of anything in the article, please change it while providing your sources. Unfortunately, very little information is available on the matter in English, neccessitating that we turn to Japanese sources for primary information.
