Boundaries?[edit]

Are the 'districts' mentioned in the article those used for local government purposes 1975 to 1996? Also, I believe each sheriff court is linked to a subdivision of a sheriffdom, and I wonder how boundaries of these subdivisions may be defined. Laurel Bush 17:07, 15 February 2007 (UTC).[reply]

I now know the districts of the article are sheriff court districts, subdivisions of sherifdoms, one sheriff court per district.
The sheriffdoms can be defined in terms of local government areas. I am not sure, however, whether court districts will correlate with modern local government areas (eg as subdivisions). Laurel Bush 10:47, 8 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]
