This should be a more comprehensive list of major quakes (better than richter 6, or estimated 6) for as much of history as possible. 74.15.105.204 (talk) 06:54, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The death toll for each of the quakes should also be included in the table. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 21:09, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Epicenter & Time[edit]

2008 Sichuan earthquake 8.0 14:28:01 CST (06:28:01 UTC)
12 May 2008
Wenchuan County (汶川县)
30.989°N 103.329°E at 19km deep
Longmenshan Fault

Shouldn't the geographic coordinates be included as part of the epicenter? And the time it occured?70.51.10.75 (talk) 11:36, 25 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Magnitude[edit]

Are all magnitudes in these tables obtained from the same source? I'm assuming they are from the USGS but there is no reference to this anywhere. Carl-PG74 (talk) 02:10, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Have seen that the China Earthquake Administration still has magnitude at 7.0 at 02:28, 22 April 2013 (UTC). Feel free to undo my last edit if you think that's appropriate. The fact still remains that it is not clear which source to use for magnitude estimates. To maintain consistency, they should all be derived from the same source - whichever one is chosen.
