You can also strip on a hydril, or annular preventer, which does not require you to go ram to ram.

there is also a "spacesaver" unit, which can be used to snub pipe till its heavy then the pulling unit or workover rig takes over.

Needs some tidying up for non-technical audiences[edit]

1) Introduction section has too much jargon. The best example of this is "It involves running the BHA on a pipe string using a hydraulic workover rig," whereby I don't understand any of the nouns there! Though the links are useful.

2) Needs a disambiguation up top; if you shove Snubbing in the Search box this is what you get. It should probably redirect to Snub or Snub (disambiguation).
