Subcategory[edit]

I was going to create a subcategory in Star Wars books for this series, but what should the title be?

  • Star Wars: X-wing (series)
  • Star Wars: X-wing
  • X-wing (series)
  • X-wing

Sorry if this seems a bit trivial, but I try to get things right the first time, and I like having the approval of my peers over disapproval anyday --Skope 18:35, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'd go with Category:X-wing. It seems most consistent with the existing subcategories. Category:Star Wars: X-wing would get my next vote. – Mipadi 19:38, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That was my first choice, too. I was just afraid the need might arise for the category to be used for something other than the novels -Skope 19:47, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Well, how many different X-wings are there, anyway? If it were the TIE fighter series, where there seems to be fifty bajillion different models, I'd say go with a book or series suffix, but off-hand, I can think of maybe two different X-wing series, and they really didn't have different model numbers, AFAIK. --maru (talk) contribs 20:47, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
hahah ... too true, too true. I guess I'm just being overanalytical today for some reason. Thanks. --Skope 21:39, 25 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Revisions[edit]

I have completely overhauled this article and revised it to more encyclopedic standards, please anyone who happens to be reading, leave a rating for the star wars wiki project

I'm not sure if all the changes are appropriate. First of all, I don't know if the author's bio information belongs here, especially since I think both authors have Wikipedia articles. Secondly, there's a bunch of formatting glitches (use of level one headers, for example) and spelling/grammar errors that need to be looked over. – Mipadi 13:45, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree my spelling and grammer have glitches, and i may not have exact wikipedia formatting information (i welcome these changes naturally) but the information regarding the authors, i think is relevant only because i have summarized very briefly and simply linked to the main articles (as was done for the books), by the above, i merely meant that i have altered the article to be what it should be, an overview of the series by means of describing the specific books. Thoughts? Basejumper123 21:58, 14 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Since the authors already have bios, it just makes more sense to have a wikilink to the author's article when it's mentioned, rather than duplicating material. – Mipadi 14:43, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Moved the page (2007)[edit]

Moved this to a different title so people don't confuse it with the game series. Jtrainor 20:07, 24 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:XWRogueSquadron1.jpg[edit]

Image:XWRogueSquadron1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Image copyright problem with Image:Xwingisardsrevenge.jpg[edit]

The image Image:Xwingisardsrevenge.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
  • That this article is linked to from the image description page.
