Untitled[edit]

This article is already listed to have several problems. I wish to further this by adding the following.

  1. The place of which the article is about, is located in Sri Lanka where it is not known as by the name of the article. Therefore I suggest renaming of the article to read "Devinuwara temple" which is the name how it is identified throughout Sri Lanka.
  2. This article is written from the perspective of information on Tamil civilization. But Devinuwara temple is a place/temple complex which is located in Sri Lanka and holds value of both historic relevance and as a place of worship for multiple faiths. Importance of this place to the Tamil civilization is only part of the picture. The article needs cleaning up as such. Right now it reads as a footnote in Tamil civilization project.
  3. Parts of the article seem to be written from a perspective trying to imply racial/ethnic priority of a group of people (in this case: Tamil civilization), rather than being objective. The can be observed in several claims in varying degrees, which some locals might even find offensive.
  4. The article is not based on peer reviewed archaeological work for the most part.

I have not edited the article and leave it to fair reviewing. And I sincerely hope this section does not get edited out before these matters are solved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 175.157.111.223 (talk) 16:42, 28 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
