Re: "Monkey Town" - I know I have no published source for this, but my Grandmother lived in Teralba for most/all her life, and called it "Monkey Town". She said it was called that because when she was a girl, one of the residents there had a monkey, so people would go down there to see it. She said he was a sailor or something, and brought it back with him.

Considering the size of the Teralba population and the somewhat ancient reference, there won't be any published sources for that.
