Donna Butterworth
[edit]The brief career of Ms. Butterworth is irrelevant to this article. Since she appeared in 2 major films (and one TV film with Ron Howard) she DOES warrant her own page, which should be set up by someone who is a big enough fan that they keep adding the irrelevant trivia about her to this page about the FILM. This is standard procedure on wikipedia...keep the information in the article about the SUBJECT of the ARTICLE...in this case, about the film, The Family Jewels. Any trivia or details that are NOT relevant to the film (ie: the brief career of Donna Butterworth) should be kept OUT of the article.
I have even gone so far as to set up (albeit poorly constructed) a page for Ms. Butterworth. Please add that info there. Thank you. Donaldd23 (talk) 10:35, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
- It's nice you set up a page for Ms Butterworth Donald. However, please keep in mind that though Jerry Lewis was certainly Überauteur of the film, one line on the film's co-star wouldn't go astray, as is mentioning the cameos of Anne Baxter and Gerald Mohr in the inflight film. A film has, particulary this one, a fine supporting cast that Mr Lewis would admit to making him look good. Excluding mention of them appears like egomania. I enjoyed this film as a child in the theatre on its first run but on reseeing it I broke out laughing over Sebastian Cabot's mere presence in the pool hall.
You may wish to consider setting up a page for Francine York an actress who appeared in SIX of your hero's films (and a variety of other roles) that certainly would be fitting to an article in Wikipedia.
As per your article on Ms Butterworth, I've been trying to find any information on what happened to her career but have only found mention of her recording music.
BTW I've also read a review of an autobiography of June Foray who said she did voice looping for some of Lewis' films, but have yet to find which ones (possibly the passengers on Eddie's Trimotor?)
It's wonderful you write on films, but don't begrudge one line! Thank you.Foofbun (talk) 21:34, 8 July 2010 (UTC)
