We need to wikify[edit]

Recent anonymous edits have made this article bulky and unreadable. Consider this run-on sentence:

The other major aspect of the series concerns Davies' private life centering on his estranged wife, Julie (played by Emma Amos), and his attempts to repair the damage his career in the Metropolitan Police Force has done to their marriage and the loss of his wife's respect after being reduced in rank (mainly consisting of walking the pet St. Bernard and carrying out routine household repairs to the family home now occupied soley by his wife) and his friendship with irreverant and rather feckless friend Mod (short for Modesty) played by Irish comedian Sean Hughes.

Yikes!

Consider:

It is referred to that Davies testified against a corrupt fellow officer in the past and was reduced to the lowest rank of constable as a result, although this was never shown in the series.

Ignoring the writing style, can anybody substantiate the claim that Dangerous had previously been demoted or testified against a corrupt officer? Of course, in the first episode, he caught a retiring officer, and that did him no good in the eyes of his fellows. My impression that he had repeatedly been passed-over for promotion, but not that he had ever been demoted. Ronstew (talk) 18:02, 12 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Done This unsourced sentence was removed with today's edit, the opening plot aspect of his catching his colleague being added to replace it. 71.201.62.200 (talk) 14:49, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please begin sourcing and removing unsourced material[edit]

A list of readily discovered sources are added as Further reading for your convenience. @Ronstew: I will remove the one sentence that you note as being unsubstantiated and questionable. 71.201.62.200 (talk) 14:18, 27 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The original Further reading list was removed by bot because of a single offending bullet. Here is that bullet:
  • Stuart Galbraith IV, 2009, "The Last Detective: Complete Collection (Acorn Media) [review of DVD collection]," DVDTalk (online), January 20, 2009, see dvdtalk DOT com/reviews/35850/last-detective-complete-collection-the/ [adding https://www. before that address, and converting the DOT to the proper syntax]. This website was last accessed 27 May 2015.
The rest of the original Further reading is back in, and those interested can do as they please with this dvdtalk information. Cheers. 71.201.62.200 (talk) 04:50, 29 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Episode descriptions[edit]

The episode summaries are all wrong, and by wrong I mean completely fabricated. It seems that every article about this character has received the visit of someone bent on disinformation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.241.129.158 (talk) 18:13, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
