Regarding the translation, I removed "Jewish" from "Jewish merchant" as I do not think that the Tietzes are relevant so much for being Jewish as for being founders of these department stores. I added the information about founding some of the earliest department stores in Germany from reading the German article. ManekiNeko | Talk 21:15, 3 September 2005 (UTC)
