Why on Earth was my addition to this article deleted.

The village is tiny and has attained fame and international attention through the murder of a vicar in his church.

The only objectional part of my addition was perhaps my decription of the act of murder. But to describe my addition as vandalism instead of an addition that could be easily edited is beyond pathetic, non?

It was un-sourced, used objectionable language not relevant for an encyclopaedia and was used without preamble and so was confusing to those who have no idea what you're talking about. Please sign your messages with ~~~~. Jonomacdrones 19:00, 14 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

So deletion was the act preferable to editing. Backwards thinking surely?
Deleting edits does not mean that you cannot put it back after finding out what was wrong with it- that wouldn't be conducive to a working open encyclopaedia. Re-write it in a better manner if it bothers you so much. For reference, too, a better procedure here would be to look at who made the edits and leave a message on their talk page. Cheers. I noticed your editions and I have provided source from BBC news. Jamie Battenbo 13:10, 17 March 2007 (GMT)
