Huh?[edit]

Wait... this is a movie? That why am I seeing footage as this as a video game? Is it based on the movie? Is the movie based on it? Is there no movie at all...? The S (talk) 03:20, 18 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's a game and a movie developed at the same time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.0.57.135 (talk) 14:05, 19 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Older computer game of same name[edit]

I'm pretty sure there was a computer game (perhaps never eventually released) fifteen to twenty years ago called 'tunnel rats' - I'm certain that's where i heard the term from way back then! Is there anywhere online where one can check? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.24.201.121 (talk) 01:07, 15 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well there's no record of another computer game named "Tunnel rats" at GameFAQs [1], or IGN [2], and google didn't get me any matches. So I dare say if a computer game by that name was released (which is possible) it was never very popular. Freikorp (talk) 10:40, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As of May 2013, the link is still dead. I have removed it accordingly. Freikorp (talk) 07:42, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Title[edit]

Shouldn't it be changed back to "1968 Tunnel Rats"? I know it's called "Tunnel Rats", but the name "1968 Tunnel Rats" became the official title of the movie. It even says so on IMDB.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 124.182.243.119 08:17, May 27, 2013 (UTC)

No it doesn't. IMDB states it's official title is "Tunnel Rats". Allrovi also states it's official title is "Tunnel Rats", and the official poster added to the article states its title is "Tunnel Rats". I see absolutely no justification whatsoever to move the page back to "1968 Tunnel Rats". Freikorp (talk) 08:58, 27 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Tunnel Rats (2008 film)Tunnel Rats (film) – There are no other films named "Tunnel Rats". 75.142.30.100 (talk) 15:20, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support as the only film article with this title. No need to be overly precise by including the release year. Erik (talk | contribs) 15:56, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support Probably speedy too. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 19:05, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support as said above. Note this film does have the alternate title 1968 Tunnel Rats. - Gothicfilm (talk) 21:16, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. I moved the page from '1968 Tunnel Rats' as I can only find extremely limited reference to this film being called that. it's far more popular title was simply 'Tunnel Rats' (See its profile at IMDB or Allrovi). Why I moved it to 'Tunnel Rate (2008 film)' instead of just 'Tunnel Rats (film)' I am not sure; must of just been an oversight on my part. Freikorp (talk) 21:46, 4 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. This proposal is consistent with general policy and specific guidelines and practice, so it should be uncontroversial and could have been moved without discussion. --B2C 00:09, 5 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support. per WP:SNOW and WP:NCF can the next passer by do a non-admin close and take out of RM. In ictu oculi (talk) 02:36, 6 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support if it's indeed the case that there are no other films with this title. JIP | Talk 07:40, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment So I think I just remembered why I moved it to '(2008 film)' as opposed to just '(film)'. I just tried moving the page to 'Tunnel Rates (film)' and I got the following message - "The page could not be moved: a page of that name already exists, or the name you have chosen is not valid." What am I doing wrong? 'Tunnel Rates (film)' just redirects to 'Tunnel Rats (2008 film)' anyway, so I can't figure out why it won't let me move it. Freikorp (talk) 10:05, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Freikorp, Tunnel Rats (film) was created in 2009 as a redirect to 1968 Tunnel Rats, as seen here. Because of this page history, you can't override it with a page move (a separate history). The redirect would need to be deleted so the film article could be moved there, I believe. An admin can do it; I am not sure if an editor has a specific tool available to do that kind of overriding. Erik (talk | contribs) 12:07, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for clearing that up for me. Freikorp (talk) 12:30, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I am an admin and can delete the target page if the consensus is to move the page. JIP | Talk 20:42, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
