founded in 1540?[edit]
do you have a source for that? I lived in vanersborg for many years and never heard about it. Normally it's stated that the town was founded in 1644 when the inhabitants of bratte was moved to the new location.

- Well, the municipality was of course not founded in 1540. I am on my way separating the actual towns from the municipalities, which are modern administrative units. But there are a lot of changes to do all over the country. --Muniswede 09:33, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
