Apologies if this is a stupid suggestion, but should the page somewhere make clear which direction the electricity is intended to flow - i.e. what is the purpose of the interconnect? Is it to supply the UK with power from Denmark, or the other way round, or both? Many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:202:B900:80E5:8EA:2DFD:9628 (talk) 12:59, 1 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria for completion[edit]

The Viking Link cable has been physically installed. The company has announced its commissioning plans, these are expected to start and finish later this year, with first actual operations starting in the new year.

Until the commissioning has been done, no one actually knows whether the link as such has been completed, the whole point of the commissioning is exactly to establish this as a fact (possibly after hardware interventions that the commissioning demonstrates are necessary).

So until we have a WP:RS that the commissioning is done, we cannot write that the cable is complete. And actual operations is when the first electricity is delivered as part of a delivery contract w. payment. Lklundin (talk) 10:38, 6 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
