Name[edit]

Was the team actually known as the Sandgropers? I know that recent WAFL teams have been known as the Black Swans but thought the older WA teams were just known as Western Australia. Hack (talk) 08:02, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Trove brings up "Sandgropers" for the state team as early as 1904 [1]. I'm sure I heard Sandgropers quite a bit, at least for State of Origin. I ♦A 08:28, 26 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
