Acording to Island Games Association (IGA) it is the flag that represent Western Isles [1] Calapez 01:01, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

No it isn't. No one in the Western Isles I know of uses it, and as for the Union Jack, it has an SNP MP and MSP. Go figure. The birlinns are the flag of the Western Isles, not this ensign. --MacRusgail 19:20, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
