GA comments[edit]

I won't pass/fail this because I have a COI, but here are some suggestions.

  • Lead needs expansion to include info about reception and chart performance.
  • There are two sections on charting - I've merged them, check this up.
  • We don't need a discussion of the winner's journey album in the Background section - save it for that article.
  • Check over it (possibly using AWB) for repeated wikilinks to the same article.
  • Any more cats? Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 02:49, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The following suggestions were generated by a semi-automatic javascript program, and might not be applicable for the article in question.

You may wish to browse through User:AndyZ/Suggestions for further ideas. Thanks, Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 02:49, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

LOL, I wasn't expecting a GA review to come up so quickly! :) I will expand the lead to cover all the topics in a minute. I purposely separate the two chart sections because that is what most music articles do, check out today's FA. I think either way is fine, since the section is very small and it charted in one country. I suppose cutting out the mention of the Winner's Journey wouldn't hurt. As for the wikilinks, IIRC that any wikilinks are repeated once there is a new section (e.g. any songs with wikilinks discussed in the prose sections is always repeated in the track listing section). I have no idea of any more cats to add in other than the one you created.
Responses to the javascript program: I will expand the lead shortly. :) I have absolutely no idea what images could be added in other than the album cover. Note that GAs don't necessarily be assessed on the quantity of images, per criterion #6 in WP:WIAGA. I can't do the last point because, well, I practically wrote the whole article myself. Copyediting would probably be best done from another editor.
Thanks for the review, hopefully someone else will review it soon without a COI. RaNdOm26 06:57, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with your comments about the auto review, but only noobs actually check what the JS says beforehand :P Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 07:56, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In case I need to say it, I have  Done all the above comments. RaNdOm26 14:15, 29 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It looks good, and I support listing the article. The only thing is that it needs a section for credits/personnel as stated at Wikipedia:WikiProject Albums/Assessment. Like the track listing, it doesn't need an explicit source since it can come from the album (if you don't own the album, All Music Guide has credit listings). 17Drew 04:22, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've added some personnel based on the track listing section, but I'm not sure if it's complete. See hereDihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 04:54, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, nice to know you're there to help out Mr Water! That's probably the only possible amount of personnel that could be added. I don't own the album; unfortunately, there's nothing at the AMG. :( RaNdOm26 06:40, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, I would recommend asking at his official forum; I'm sure there's a fan who'd be willing to post it. 17Drew 07:51, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Umm, like I have to? I have to register to do it!!! By the way, I have asked Dededom if she might be able to help out with this. RaNdOm26 08:34, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You don't own the album? You're joking, right! Have you tried emailing Dededom? Dihydrogen Monoxide (H2O) 09:08, 7 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, it's been over a week, and I can't pass the article for GA if it doesn't meet WP:ALBUM's requirements for a B-class article. Feel free to let me know if you add the section and re-nominate. 17Drew 02:37, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's ok. I think I have got something planned so that I can grab an album soon, though it could take a few weeks. RaNdOm26 04:33, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's interesting!!. I just checked it a few seconds ago. I'm going to put that in now... Yay! :) RaNdOm26 10:30, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've passed the article then. It hasn't even been 24 hours, so I just removed the {{FailedGA}} template. 17Drew 19:06, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thanks. RaNdOm26 11:20, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
