Hi I think there is a mistakte with the ancestors. His father was NOT William Cavendish, 6th Duke of Devonshire but William_Cavendish_(1783-1812). It took my half an hour to find where this mistake is because it was very confusing... sorry for my bad english. Its important he's referred to as 2nd Earl of Burlington of the 2nd creation; people will get confused otherwise as to whether he was a courtesy earl or not and confused between him and the Boyle family of the first creation.

first President of the extended Owens College and first Vice-Chancellor of the Victoria University[edit]
