XJACK in USR PC cards[edit]
In Europe, 3-Com used XJACK on USRobotics branded PC Card modems, Ethernet, and combo cards. In the late 1990s I sent a USR XJACK 28.8K modem in for warranty repair. It was owned by a person who had bought it in Scotland. I had to call 3-Com support twice because the first person I got insisted only 3-Com products had XJACK and refused to listen to my explanation it was from Scotland.
