Not just voice actor[edit]

The ja.wiki article for this page lists far more stage roles than voice roles; while some of them are clearly bit parts, she reprized at least one role in a revival of the play, which strongly suggests it was a leading part. It looks to me this article needs to be retooled to emphasize her stage career -- or at the very least, the ja.wiki article needs to be translated. —Quasirandom (talk) 20:23, 29 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I added inline cites from Anime News Network and slocartoon.net. I removed the {{notability}} tag because the previous AFD decided the subject was (barely) notable. The Japanese wikipedia article (translation here) does not cite any inline sources, only three external links, each of which is either blog-like or infoseek. It does indeed give a list of stage appearances, but they are very short runs. The problem with using a translation of the Japanese article is that each claim will need an inline citation (in Japanese if necessary), but there are none. -84user (talk) 13:32, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Your mistaken, the AfD did not determine Aimoto's notability. Also, Anime News Network's encyclopedia is not a reliable source as it is user edited, much like Wikipedia. I also question the reliability of slocartoon.net and believe it needs to be checked out. —Farix (t | c) 14:00, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Well, the AFD was closed with keep but no reason was given. The discussion did appear to accept that the subject met the "letter" of Notability but maybe not the "intent". Do you think it should be relisted? Maybe with a recommendation that it be moved to the Wikipedia:Article Incubator to allow time for those more familiar with anime to collect better sources? I agree that ANN is not really a reliable source, just like IMDB and wikipedia are not reliable. As to slocartoon, I have just asked at Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard#slocartoon.net for actor. There is also http://hollywood.premiere.com/search-Yuka%20Aimoto but all it states is "Actor" and one film episode. -84user (talk) 17:36, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
