[edit]Seems to bit over futuristic to go beyond 2020 or even 2015, this should be fixed -->Typ932 T·C 18:26, 14 August 2012 (UTC)
- It's not intended for predicting what engines will be built in 18 years time(!), just maintaining the format of other timelines. 1292simon (talk) 08:57, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- I know but it looks stupid when 90% is empty, you could spread those used years to fill the empty area. -->Typ932 T·C 12:58, 15 August 2012 (UTC)
- It look awful covering only 3 years, totally out of proportion. At least go to 10 years. 1292simon (talk) 10:35, 16 August 2012 (UTC)

- Now its half empty, the problem is that those two/three years should have been included in the previous template Template:BMW motor vehicle engine timeline, 1980s-2000s, at the moment we dont have any "empty" timelines in this wikiproject, If I see correct -->Typ932 T·C 12:07, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
Why can't these be done by decades? After all, BMW releases a new suite of engines give or take twice every decade. - Michael Lenoch
Overlap with previous timeline
[edit]Hi. To improve continuity and make the timeline work better for engines which straddle the changeover period of these timelines, I propose to add the 2000s to this timeline. Therefore, the 2000s be covered in both this timeline and the previous one. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 12:18, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
- I agree, please go ahead. --Jojhnjoy (talk) 12:42, 27 July 2017 (UTC)
