Please move the documentation stuff to /doc by using {{documentation}} and in the documentation add a link to Template:OTRS received under the see also section. Nsaa (talk) 17:39, 14 March 2009 (UTC)
[edit] Small requested edit
{{editprotected}} Currently, there is an extraneous space in the output of this template when used outside the Image/File namespace. To fix this, please replace the entire "Note to OTRS volunteers" line with the following code:
''Note to OTRS volunteers:'' If the email contains sufficient confirmation of the validity of the license, please replace this template with {{tlp|PermissionOTRS|ticket=URL}}{{#switch:{{NAMESPACE}}|Image= and consider moving to [[Commons:Main page|Commons]]. Otherwise, nominate the file for deletion or delete it.|File= and consider moving to [[Commons:Main page|Commons]]. Otherwise, nominate the file for deletion or delete it.|. Otherwise, remove the copyrighted content, deleting the page if necessary.}}
This moves the offending space inside the #switch parser function, where it is needed in the Image/File namespace to continue the sentence, but removes it from the display in other namespaces. Thanks. 76.235.59.221 (talk) 06:02, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

- Reactivated editprotected template; you appear to have accidentally left out the space immediately following
|File=, which causes two words to run together, as seen on File:R Pielke Sr.jpg. :) 76.235.59.221 (talk) 05:14, 22 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Upload to Commons?
Seeing the number of uploads to Wikipedia using this template, should the documentation mention that most images that are licensed by Creative Commons or are PD can be uploaded to Commons instead of here, where they would most likely be tagged {{move to commons}} at any rate? I'm not familiar enough with licensing laws to know if images licensed CC-US (USA only I think?) and similar would be exempt from the Commons thing... – Kerαunoςcopia◁galaxies 23:39, 2 June 2011 (UTC)

Place a hard-coded space ( ) after "Image=" and after "File=". Otherwise, no space shows.— Train2104 (talk • contribs • count) 19:25, 26 June 2011 (UTC)
[edit] Implementing a check for a one-month limit
This edit request has been answered. Set the |answered= or |ans= parameter to no to reactivate your request. |
Since it was understood upon that files pending OTRS permission for a month would be deleted, I think it would be a good to move these to a category automatically. However, as the problems entailed with substitution or the feeding of the current date/time as a parameter would be confusing to new users, I think it's reasonable to depend on the last revision of the page. Since files and talk pages of OTRS-pending items are (usually) not very active, it shouldn't pose too big of a loophole.
Therefore, could an admin implement the sandbox and create Category:Items pending OTRS confirmation of permission for over 30 days?
