Please update template when missed or new items pop up[edit]

Please feel free to update this template with the models that have been missed, overlooked or due to my laziness just did not enter. Please improve the template as you wish. Thanks DeusImperator (talk) 18:27, 9 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Future development of this template[edit]

I would like to see the categories broken up further such as Rifles - Bolt action, Semi-Automatic, Pump, Shotguns - Semi-automatic and Pump etc. so that it can be better arranged for the reader of the article. Once this is complete we can delete the list of firearms etc on the Remington Arms Company page as the template provides a better formated, easier to read and more compact list of firearms. Sporting Firearms and Military Firearms[edit]

I'd like to see the Military firearms put in their own category. Remington makes primarily Sporting Firearms and Accessories (a $28 Billion business). Furthermore I would like to see the template name changed to being Sporting firearms. The Sporting Firearms are NOT used by the Police/Military and this is an important distinction.Digitallymade (talk) 13:42, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Is that a distinction made by Remington or by books on Remington firearms? If it's just something you are concerned about then it would be inappropriate to impose that view on the template. Felsic2 (talk) 18:45, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Here is a better answer: from http://www.remingtonmilitary.com/Company/FAQ/FAQ.aspx

1) How do I purchase Remington Defense products as a private citizen? Remington Defense sells exclusively to military and law enforcement agencies and contractors. To check the availability of similar products for civilian sales, please see the full line of firearms, ammunition and accessories at www.remington.comDigitallymade (talk) 20:00, 2 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't a buyer's guide. I can't buy Buckingham Palace yet we have a big article about it. Felsic2 (talk) 01:42, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
you wouldn't if it was a military base. You proved my point, Civilian products are NOT the same as military products. Digitallymade (talk) 04:03, 3 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
We have big articles on military bases too. The point is that you shouldn't make up these categories on your own. Instead, you should follow the divisions used by the majority of sources. The template looks fine as it is. Felsic2 (talk) 16:48, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
