Order of the candidates
[edit]It makes no sense to put John Buchanan (American politician) ahead of George W. Bush. Alphabetical is not the relevant criterion. Put the nominee first, and then all the runners up alphabetically. THF (talk) 18:28, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Why? --William Saturn (talk) 18:29, 1 March 2009 (UTC)
Buchanan is a fringe lunatic candidate. He's of questionable notability other than the fact that sensationalistic radio shows occasionally use him as a commentator to make wild claims. The template falsely implies that he is of the same magnitude as the actual nominee, who faced no serious opposition. I've WP:BOLDly proposed a compromise that satisfies both of our goals.
