"The New Wave" is a song by Daft Punk, released as their first single in 1994 on the Soma Recordings label. It was later released the same year on the UMM label under license from Soma Recordings. Though it was originally a standalone single, the track "The New Wave" eventually evolved into "Alive" (evidenced in the tracklisting), which appeared on Homework.
