Tulipa clusiana, the lady tulip,^[2] is an Asian species of tulip native to Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan and the western Himalayas. It is widely cultivated as an ornamental and is reportedly naturalized in France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Tunisia, Greece, and Turkey.^[1]^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]

The plant grows to a height of 6 to 12 in (15 to 30 cm). It flowers during the spring season.^[10]^[11]

Candy Cane Tulip. White petals brushed with red on the outside. The inside is pure white. Flowers open wide and flat in the sun. Lady Jane is one of the most graceful of all tulips. Originally from Iran and Afghanistan.
