About Me[edit]

enThis user is a native speaker of the English language.

I'm from Berkeley, California and since I since I was born in Milford, Connecticut, some hard core Californians might not call me a native. But since my grandmother moved to Berkeley as a refugee from the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake, and I've lived here all but four years of my life, I tend to call myself a native Berkeleyan. I've been an account-bearing Wikipedian since December 2005.

Things I do[edit]

I teach physics at Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory in San Francisco, California and before that taught at Carondelet High School in Concord, California, and Berkeley High School (Berkeley, California).

My science education pages can be found at http://trampleasure.net/science. There you'll find many resources for teaching science (primarily teenage physical science). I used to keep my pages on my former school's web site, but then they decided that some of the information on the site was too old, and rather than figure out what was old and needed to be scrapped, they dumped the whole site. Never again will my web content be dependent upon bureaucrats.

From 2000-2009, I ran a web site called ShopInBerkeley that provided free and low coast web pages for businesses in Berkeley, CA. I closed it when the alternatives (Google Local, Yelp, etc.) became good enough I thought I could close the business. When I started, it was very difficult for businesses to gain a web presence. Now, it's fairly simple.
