History[edit]

California native Corey Parks began her career as a model in the early 90s, but as soon as Parks picked up a bass at the age of 22, the rest became rock ‘n roll history.

Parks assembled her first band Nashville Pussy and began touring the world, opening for the likes of Marilyn Manson, Iron Maiden, and Queens of the Stone Age. After her successful run with Nashville Pussy, she joined the groundbreaking band Chelsea Girls, and the Los Angeles staple rock act was joined on stage by the likes of Billy Duffy of The Cult, Dave Navarro of Jane’s Addiction, Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead, Ace Frehley of Kiss (band), Wayne Kramer (guitarist) of MC5, and Slash (musician) of Guns N’ Roses.

Parks began sewing in order to kill time while on tour. With this, she had more control over what she wanted to wear on stage. Parks stated, “Fashion and music have always gone hand in hand. While there were so many great designers out there doing stuff, there was nothing that really suited me [for] what I needed for both my personal life and [on] stage. I wanted things that were sexy, but still had a little tomboy badass to them.”

Early on, Parks’ designs respected by Rick Owens and his muse Michele Lamy. Parks was soon recognized by her personal style by some of Los Angeles’ most prestigious tastemakers, including Tommy Perse, owner of Maxfield. Perse was so taken by Parks’ designs that he not only buy her a sewing machine, but commissioned a collection of one-of-a-kind jackets and leather pieces.

After years of fashion accomplishments, Parks met Brooke Cainkar. Cainkar had played a significant role as Vice President of Operations for Rock & Republic, dramatically increasing the growth of the company from $500,000 to $120,000,000 annually. Together, Parks and Cainkar have created the undeniable force in high fashion STAND+DELIVER.

STAND+DELIVER has expanded to custom-made performance pieces, Rihanna's jaw dropping ensemble for her hit single Disturbia (song) being a prime example. STAND+DELIVER left its mark when Karl Lagerfeld walked out of Maxfield wearing one of Parks’ jackets (and carrying another nine) proclaiming, “This is a very strong designer. I feel strong in her jacket.”
