AFC Crewe is a football club, based in Crewe, Cheshire, England. The club are currently members of the Crewe and District league and play at Wood Park Stadium. Affiliated to the Cheshire County Football Association, they also operate a reserve team in the Crewe and District league and a women's team in the Cheshire Women's & Youth Football League.

History[edit]

Established in 2021, the club joined the Crewe and District in the 2021/22 season. In 2022 the club was acquired through the Nufan community. An online fan owned non profit community.

Having finished bottom of the league in their first season, the Nufan community knew a major overhaul was required for the club to be promoted through the football pyramid.

The 2022 season saw the arrival of a number of new players which seen the improvement of the squad and an unbeaten run taking the club to the top of the league where they remain today. Off the pitch the social media began to receive traction which resulted in the signing of Christoffer Mafoumbi for his off season.

The club submitted a club record bid for Cristiano Ronaldo which received coverage across media outlets in the UK and abroad. One of these was Pro Sieben who flew a camera crew across, in time to witness the club record win.

Nufan Community[edit]

Founded in 2022 in the wake of the European Super League collapse and the disconnect between fans and elite football, four friends came together to create Nufan, a new way of a community owned club model.

Run through the online channel Discord, the community is responsible for all areas of the club. Members from across the globe receive one share and one vote for all aspects of the club.
