This tool allows you to preview a page using your own test versions of templates, even for templates and pages that are fully protected.

How to use this page

Main fields Sandbox prefix: Pages previewed using this tool will retrieve their templates from under the prefix you enter here, instead of from Wikipedia's usual "Template:" namespace. Render page: The page you want to preview. Example If you wanted to see how Wikipedia:Notability would look using your own test versions of {{subcat guideline}}, {{nutshell}}, and {{notabilityguide}}: Save your test versions of {{subcat guideline}}, {{nutshell}}, and {{notabilityguide}} under the following titles: User:Username/sandbox/Template:Subcat guideline User:Username/sandbox/Template:Nutshell User:Username/sandbox/Template:Notabilityguide In the "Sandbox prefix" line, enter User:Username/sandbox. In the "Render page" line, enter Wikipedia:Notability. Optional fields Render revision: Preview a specific revision of the given page. Using the example above, entering a revision ID in the "Render revision" line will preview the specified older version of Wikipedia:Notability, instead of the current version. Render wikitext: If anything is entered in this field, it will override and replace the code in the page you specified in the "Render page" line. Use your own code for previewing, instead of using an existing page. Using the example above, you could paste your own edited version of Wikipedia:Notability in this field.
