John Porter Kimball, M.D. (25 August 1796 Orford, New Hampshire – 28 December 1842 Galveston), was a physician but is more known for having translated "Laws and Decrees of the State of Coahuila and Texas" in 1838 and published by the Houston Telegraph in 1939.[1]
Career[edit]
Kimball was born in Orford, New Hampshire, Eliphalet Kimball, M.D. (1869–1843) and Elizabeth Cushing Porter (maiden 1777–1839). He married on March 7, 1821, in Amherst, New Hampshire, to Fanny Kittrege (1799–1921), but she died 5 months, 3 weeks, and 5 days later – on September 16, 1821.[2][3]
