My criteria for granting users Adminship.

• 1) Good character.
  • The user does not evade or refuse to engage in discussion, even with clueless newbies.
  • The user is unafraid to admit wrongdoing, or any mistakes they have made.
  • The user should have a zero-tolerance policy regarding vandals. Block 'em on sight.
  • Alternatively, the user should approach vandals with kindness and consideration. Big plus.
  • The user speaks to everyuser with good etiquette, regardless of anything the other user has done, said, or thought.
  • The user is interested in building a community, as opposed to a bureaucracy, and seeks to engage with other editors, whom they treat as peers, not peasants.
• 2) Good contributions.
  • The user has made significant contributions to any domain of Wikipedia. That being mainspace, user scripts, dispute resolution, etc.
  • The user has proven, through their actions, that they are here to build an Encyclopedia.
• 3) Zero vandalism.
  • The user has never (to our knowledge) maliciously defaced the Encyclopedia.
