User:Kevin Steinhardt

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Kevin Steinhardt is my name and I'm a contributor to Wikipedia. I used to contribute—a verb which I'll no doubt 'water down' over the next few paragraphs—far more than I do today but I'm getting back into things and I hope to contribute more to Wikipedia in the future.

Unlike some Wikipedia users,[1] I aim to avoid overpopulating this user page with userboxes; the userboxes that are on this page relate to languages and that is the only type of userbox I intend to use.[2]

Languages[edit]

I speak English natively—British English if you want to be picky; Cantabrigian English if you want to be silly. I currently live in the Netherlands and speak Dutch to a reasonable level.[3]

I'm interesting in learning another language soon. That's the thing about languages: you never know when a third or fourth might be of some use to you.

Aside from minor edits (e.g. linking between articles, adding a relevant source or marking an external link as 'dead'), I'm not yet at a stage to write articles or make major additions to articles in languages other than English.

Presence on Wikipedia[edit]

I used to be quite present on Wikipedia - that is evident if you look back at my contributions from a few years ago. The largest project I worked on was WP:RDT; devoted to the creation and maintenance of route diagram templates for railways and metro systems.

Footnotes[edit]

  1. ^ Users like Patrickpp, Youngwebprogrammer and actually anyone else who uses the User:UBX/Overuse template.
  2. ^ And I'm not in the slightest bit interested in making a userbox reading something along the lines of "This user only uses language userboxes... this userbox is, of course, an exception".
  3. ^ My written Dutch is worse, however, as so I don't think I'll be contributing to the Dutch language Wikipedia any time soon.
