Interests[edit]
This is a separate tab to catalog all of my interests, of which there are many! While I don't claim to be a certifiable expert in anything, I am rather knowledgeble about anime and manga, as well as certain historic eras, zoology, art history, and internet pop culture.
General Interests[edit]
I am a history major in college, so I naturally enjoy a multitude of historical topics. While I am no expert, I have enjoyed learning about Ancient Egypt and Medieval Europe since childhood. Later in life I developed an interest in the World Wars, Napoleon Bonaparte, and feudal Japan, and I feel somewhat more comfortable in my knowledge of those topics. Outside of history I have always enjoyed natural sciences and the arts, especially anything relating to animals. While house cats have been my favourite animal forever, I also have a love for dogs, snakes, birds of prey and corvids - I will enjoy the company of almost any animal (except craneflies, they freak me out!). I also have a fascination with the morbid and macabre (to the dismay of my mother and grandparents) - cold cases, unsolved mysteries, and the horror genre of almost anything fascinate me.
Hobbies[edit]
My hobbies include hiking and collecting manga, as well as visiting art galleries and museums. In March of 2018 I visited Mammoth Cave National Park, and have since made it a personal goal to visit as many of the units managed by the National Park System as possible in my lifetime - and I have also began to collect the park passport cancellation stamps as a result.
