I am a software developer and a Khmer translator and interpreter. I previously lived in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on multiple occasions, most recently while working for the ICRC mission as an interpreter. English is my native language, and I have spent a number of years studying and speaking the Khmer language both in Cambodia and in communities in the United States since the 1990's. I have a long (past) history of involvement with and an in-depth knowledge of Mormonism. My primary areas of interest and expertise are linguistics; Cambodia, including it's culture, history, and language; and Mormonism and its related subjects, including history. My degrees are in Economics, Linguistics, and Computer Science with a TESOL certification and additional background in Asian Studies and International Development. My recreational interests include British and American television; books; and backpacking in American West, especially the deserts and mountains of Utah and vicinity.
