Dr Nadadur Janardhan (born 1954) is an Indian, Governance Innovator and Writer based in Chennai. He was Regional Adviser of the United Nations for International Trade Facilitation, Electronic Commerce and Governance[1] covering around forty countries in Asia and the Pacific. He popularized and institutionalized Trade and business community value chains and their governance in Asia, using EDI[2][3] and other electronic commerce technologies.[4][5][6]. His book "Electronic Commerce - Ensuring Speed and Certainty in order fulfillment" was published by The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), New Delhi, in 1997 and was a compulsory reading material for students enrolled in Export & Import Management[7]. For this exemplary honorary work he was awarded the title of "Honorary Fellow of Indian Institute of Foreign Trade". He was the Adviser of Government of India in establishing the EAN India (presently renamed as GS1 India)[8] - the unique numbering organization for facilitation and governance of Trade in goods & services. He is a Honorary Adviser for IT Governance of Indian Red Cross Society and is an active member of many working groups of experts in business analysis, international trade procedures and Governance.

After six years of service with the United Nations[9], he came back to India and continued his passion for institutionalizing governance. He assisted the Government of India in establishing NISG National Institute for Smart Government focused on eGovernment[10] and other initiatives focused on eGovernance and Governance.[11][12][13].
