Fratty[edit]

Merovingian is obviously a GDI gay for deleting the fratty page like 3 times. You are a disgrace to call yourself an American Conservative you northern pussy. Graduate high school you little prick. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.47.232.219 (talkcontribs)

Anon IP talk page[edit]

Hi Merovingian,

I'm very new as an admin (in fact, Raul654 accidentally promoted me a day early), so I wanted to check to make sure I handled that user and talk page correctly. Thanks for putting the template on--I just wrote out a note because I didn't know which one to use. -- SCZenz 06:59, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Cool, thanks—I was pretty sure I saw a policy somewhere earlier today that said page protection was appropriate in such a case. Letting them talk on their own page is necessary in general, I think, at least with IP's that may not be used solely by the offending individual. -- SCZenz 07:13, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Sources for Euthydemus (tyrant)[edit]

Hello, some time ago you added a fair bit of content to Euthydemus (tyrant). As you may be aware, we are currently trying to improve Wikipedia's accuracy and reliability by making sure articles cite the sources used to created them. Do you remember what websites, books, or other places you learnt the information that you added to Euthydemus (tyrant)? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? Thank you very much. - SimonP 17:20, 4 December 2005 (UTC)

Sources for 83 Aquarii[edit]

Hello, good work on 83 Aquarii, and thanks for the contribution. However, you did not provide any references or sources in the article. Keeping Wikipedia accurate and verifiable is very important, and as you might be aware there is currently a push to encourage editors to cite the sources they used when adding content. From what websites, books, or other places did you learn the information that you added to 83 Aquarii? Would it be possible for you to mention them in the article? You can simply add links, or see WP:CITET if you wish to review some of the different citation methods. Thanks! Lupin|talk|popups 00:13, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

210.246.0.57 vandal[edit]

Hi, I've noticed that you reverted 210.246.0.57 on the Dragon Ball Z page. He has continued vandalizing despite two warnings. Since you are a sysop, can you warn and/or ban him? Thank you. -- RattleMan 02:40, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Thanks for blocking him. -- RattleMan 02:48, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

210.8.110.35 vandal[edit]

Four vandalisation edits on Mata Hari in the past few minutes. --BrownBean 22:37, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

In fact, this ISP address has been used since 8th September exclusively for vandalism. --BrownBean 22:45, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Kaiser Permanente Revert[edit]

Hi, Merovingian! Thank you for reverting the Kaiser Permanente page. The entry I found was written as PR by a Kaiser Permanente employee ("Justen"). I'm trying to balance it with criticism, but I don't have much experience with Wikipedia standards yet. I welcome any advice on how to keep it beneficial and informative. I also just edited the HMO entry to highlight some Kaiser propaganda.

Xmas Userbox Template[edit]

I see you like my Xmas userbox. Just thought I'd tell you it can now be put onto your page using the text below.

I will surpass....[edit]

I will surpass the amount/quantity of categories that are on the footer of your page, and you can bet that one. I will soon take a count! Of course, there is no justification for this comment thus far so I must act something productive to it. Here: good job, you are a very good contributor, unlike myself, unfortunately. The Old Wikipedia[edit]

What exactly did the old wikipedia look like. Myself, being a simple guy, am curious. Эйрон Кинни 03:45, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for telling me about the "old version". As a matter of fact, I think I like it. Эйрон Кинни 03:54, 11 December 2005 (UTC)
Of course, it would be quite hard for me to become accustomed to the replacement of different links and things like that. Does it differ any, or is the Classic skin just an exact clone? Эйрон Кинни 04:06, 11 December 2005 (UTC). P.S. I added you to my Yahoo! buddy list if it is alright with you.

Salutations![edit]

Rather a tyro at Wikipedia insofar, but I'm curious concerning where would be a nifty place for an assemblage of several UserBoxes not listed on the usual Userboxes.. Primarily the Geekish ones for myself.

Thanks for the forthcoming help! DrWho42 23:11, 11 December 2005 (UTC)

Signpost[edit]

Fixed. (I deleted an earlier sentence that mentioned who he was, and neglected to replace it later in the paragraph) Thanks for pointing it out, and note that if I do make a simple mistake like that, it's fine to fix it yourself...I won't have my assassins shoot you and throw you in the East River :) Ral315 (talk) 07:19, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Actually, neither could I. I linked to User:Daniel Mayer, which was then a redlink. User talk:Daniel Mayer was a redirect, though, so I figured it out :) Ral315 (talk) 07:33, 13 December 2005 (UTC)

Good luck[edit]

Just wanted to say good luck to you in your Arb Com candidacy, Derktar 23:03, 13 December 2005 (UTC).

No problem, I do wonder how they will end up running the elections this year though. Derktar 23:06, 13 December 2005 (UTC).

Thanks for introducing yourself![edit]

Your kind welcome and the information about how to automatically insert user details were a pleasant surprise. Thanks!

Hi Merovingian, thank you as well for encouraging me to start. I shall do my best. And have a nice Christmas -- €pa 03:04, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

There are other sources out there![edit]

You deleted my article on a website, with the reason of "only appears 7 times in google". There are other sources and other search engines out there, and the fact that you deleted my article is unjustified. (Note: I am not the webmaster of this website, nor am I associated with his website. Therefore, I am not someone just trying to add their own stuff. People have addressed the fact that they would like to know more about this website, and that is why I created the article, which you have deleted!) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 207.255.133.142 (talkcontribs)

George W. Bush[edit]

According to brion, it kills the database to delete/undelete GWB, because the article has too many edits. When you want entries deleted, simply ask him. He has a much easier way of doing it. — 0918BRIAN • 2005-12-14 02:27

There's no point in protecting the article. The vandal will just go to pages that aren't watched as much as GWB, and his vandalism will stay for longer. --BRIAN0918 03:03, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Semi-protection[edit]

I saw you just reverted vandalism on George W. Bush, and wondered what you thought about the proposals to curb what's going on there. If you have time, check out Wikipedia:Semi-protection policy, and weigh in (there's something of a large discussion page, so be prepared. For a quick run-through of what's been said and done, see #rehashing) Hope to see you there. -Mysekurity(have you seen this?) 04:40, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Sig[edit]

Wow, your sig is now confusing as hell. I seriously thought you were User:King of all the Franks. Franks, as in hot dogs. Yeah, I'm stupid sometimes. android79 00:51, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

AOL block[edit]

Please note that you have blocked an AOL proxy address -- which randomly rotates among users. AOL users cannot control which number they are assigned, and blocking the number for any length of time is ineffective in fighting vandalism. Please see my user page User:WBardwin/AOL Block Collection for a history of adminstrative discussion and action regarding these blocks. They seem to hit me often. Please release your block. Information below. Thank you. WBardwin 05:58, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Your IP address is 207.200.116.202. Please include this address, along with your username, in any queries you make.

Your user name or IP address has been blocked by Merovingian.

The reason given is: Autoblocked because your IP address has been recently used by "Kkkboi". The reason given for Kkkboi's block is: "vandal/troll".

come on, Ryan............. 24 hours???, please. I've got work I want to get finished this evening. Won't have time to get back to it for at least a week. I'm innocent -- AOL assigns the numbers. Thank you. WBardwin 06:51, 15 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. Sorry to sound irritated, but it's always annoying to be punished for the sins of others. And its a busy time for me and the recreation value of wiki is invaluable to my stress level. Although I've been asked to consider becoming an administrator, I've avoided committing primarily because fighting vandals seems a highly stressful activity. Sorry if I added to that problem. Best wishes. WBardwin 08:07, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

Pro-life celebrities category up for deletion[edit]

Hi, I see that you are listed as a Roman Catholic Wikipedian, well the Pro-life celebrities category is up for deletion. Category:Pro-life celebrities I think this is an interesting and worth while category. Afterall not all celebrities are pro-abortion. Dwain 02:47, 16 December 2005 (UTC)
