Biography[edit]

1997–2015: Early life and career[edit]

Lisa was born in Bangkok, Thailand on March 27, 1997. Born Pranpriya Manoban, she changed her name to Lalisa (“one who is praised”), Lisa is her stage name.[2]

Lisa auditioned at the 2010 YG Entertainment Auditions in Thailand and became the only person to have passed the audition in 2010. She signed as a trainee with YG Entertainment in April 2011 and moved to South Korea.[3] In May 2012, YGE uploaded a video through Youtube entitled "Who's That Girl??", however there was no information about her at that time.[4]

After Jennie, YG announced Lisa as the second member of the girl group Black Pink on June 7, 2016. They debuted their first two songs “Boombayah” and “Whistle” on Aug 8, 2016.[5] The group has released two digital single albums, Square One and Square Two, as well as two EPs, Blackpink and Square Up.[5]
